Saved Geofilter Sets allow you to save commonly used geographic targeting configurations and reuse them across multiple ad campaigns. Instead of manually rebuilding the same location filters for each campaign, you can apply saved sets with a single click.
A Geofilter Set is a saved collection of geographic targeting rules that you can apply to any ad campaign. Each set can include up to 50 Geofilters with the ability to both include and exclude locations, allowing you to define geographic targeting once and use it across multiple campaigns.
For example, if you regularly run campaigns targeting your service territory, you might create a "Service Area" Geofilter set containing all the states, cities, or ZIP codes you serve. When creating new campaigns, you can select this set instead of manually entering each location again.
Check out the video below for a walkthrough, or skip down to the written instructions:
Creating a Saved Geofilter Set
- Go to Settings in your Feathr account
- Select Geofilter from the settings menu
- Click Create Set
Configure your Geofilter Set
- Name your set: Enter a descriptive name that clearly identifies the geographic targeting, for example, "Major Donor Cities," or "Annual Conference Locations”.
- Choose whether you want this set to be the Default Set for future campaigns.
- Add Geofilters: Configure your geographic targeting using all available Geofilter options:
- Countries
- Regions/States/Provinces
- Cities/Towns
- Set include/exclude rules: For each location, specify whether you want to include or exclude that geography from targeting.
- Verify your filters: Review your configuration to ensure you've included all necessary locations.
- Click Save to create your Geofilter set
Setting a Default Geofilter Set
You can designate one saved Geofilter set as your default. When you create new campaigns, the default set will automatically apply, saving you even more time.
To set a default:
- Go to Account Settings, then Geofilters
- Find the set you want to use as your default.
- Click the Assign as Default option for that set.
When you create a new ad campaign, the campaign wizard will automatically use your default geofilter set. You can change to a different saved set or switch to custom Geofilters at any time during campaign creation. Campaigns will default to the custom Geofilter configuration option, allowing you to Geotarget manually.
