Note: if your organization would like to run Political ads via Meta, please see our documentation on this subject here.
Political Categorization
To run campaigns with creatives that display political content, you must work with the Feathr Support Team to ensure your account is correctly categorized. Correct categorization is a required step. It will let ad network vendors know ahead of time that you are approved for showing political content. This will lead to better chances of creative approval by those vendors.
Include in your communication with Support, "My organization plans to show political content in our ads. Please help me categorize my account as a political advertiser."
Note: Xandr no longer allows political advertisements of any kind. See their published guidelines for more information.
Creative Requirements
Creatives including political content are subject to more restrictions and screening by ad distributors. Due to this, there are elements that a political advertiser must have in their creatives as a requirement for approval.
The creative will need to have a clear and conspicuous "paid for by" disclosure present. This disclosure shows the name of the organization or individual paying for the ad. The absence of this disclosure may lead to the rejection of the creative where it will not be allowed for use in a campaign.
An element of branding will also need to be present within the creative. A logo or brand name will fulfill this requirement. The absence of branding may lead to the rejection of the creative where it will not be allowed for use in a campaign.
Please visit the political content guidelines pages for Google and Xandr. There you will find the most up to date requirements and more information about serving political content.
