Since you and your staff are regular visitors to your website, you will probably be included in many of your retargeting Groups. This means there's a good chance you'll serve yourself ads. Many Feathr customers enjoy seeing their ads as a prospect would, and remember that it's only costing you about $0.005 to see each one. While it can be nice to see your campaigns at work, there are a few ways to prevent this if you want to.
Create an Exclusion Group
The first option is to create a Group that contains people who should be excluded (for a refresher on how to create a Group, click here). You can create one Group of anyone who should not see ads or multiple descriptive Groups for groups like marketing team, web developers, or even one for Feathr staff. This option has the most immediate effect, you just need to add the Group(s) as Targets and click 'Exclude' across all Retargeting campaigns.
You can direct people to visit a page via link (one that couldn't be organically accessed) and filter based on that URL. For small teams, you could use the Activity view in your Community section to identify individuals based on most recent activity.
If you have Data Services, you can search for these people by name or create a custom data value for exclusion criteria. Reach out to your Customer Success Manager to discuss your options.
Opt-out
Individuals can also opt-out of Feathr tracking at http://privacy.feathr.co/. This will apply a cookie to their browser that tells Feathr not to collect any further activity. While this method does not immediately stop them from seeing ads, they will become un-targetable as they fall out of Groups.
Block IP
The third method is to block the IP address of known locations like your office. Navigate to your Account Settings, then click IP Filtering. Add each IP address and click Save. IP Addresses are network-specific, not device specific (if you access your organization's website from your home or while traveling, your activity would not be blocked). While this method does not immediately stop them from seeing ads, individuals located at these addresses will become un-targetable as they fall out of Groups.
