Affinity Campaigns (FKA custom Lookalike campaigns) are powerful campaigns that allow you to tap into enormous audiences based on knowledge of that audience's demographic, industry, or in-market status.
One of the unique features of an Affinity Campaign is the ability to immediately target these audiences for displaying ad campaigns without the need to build a large database of first-party data (such as web visitors).
Let's take a quick look at an example target of an Affinity Campaign to demonstrate.
Target Options
Affinity Campaigns are like other Feathr display ad campaigns in that you will choose dates and a budget, add creatives, and select a target audience. But when selecting a target audience for your Affinity Campaign, you have a wide array of options based on market behavior and demographics.
First select an affinity category, which consists of industry-based, demographic-based, or in-market-based people:
In this example, we are selecting people in management. Then, you will be prompted to select an Affinity audience:
In this example, we are selecting decision makers in the banking industry. This is a pre-vetted target Group built with data from Feathr's ad network partnerships.
In an Affinity campaign, you can browse through hundreds of such targets, across all industries and demographics. You can also combine multiple targets, just like in Retargeting campaigns.
We strongly recommend utilizing the geographic filter when running an Affinity campaign. This is because Affinity audiences are enormous and international. Your campaign budget will be better spent by narrowing your campaign to display only in geographic regions where you do business or where your offer applies.
Affinity Campaigns are especially useful to brand new Feathr customers before they have collected a large first-party database, and for early legs of a Flight where audience expansion is the goal.
