Feathr uses two similar-sounding but distinct terms for advertising budget: Media Credit and Growth Credits. This article clarifies what each one means and how they differ.
Media Credit
Media Credit refers to general prepaid advertising budget added to your Feathr account through standard billing methods. This is traditional, purchased media budget that funds your advertising campaigns.
How you get Media Credit:
- Pre-paying for media budget through your billing configuration
- Credit card, ACH, or check payments applied to a Project
- Account adjustments or refunds applied as credit
- Standard billing arrangements with your Feathr account
Media Credits functions as standard prepaid budget in your Project.
Growth Credits
Growth Credits are marketing credits earned specifically through Feathr Fundraising when donors add optional tips to their donations.
Donors add tips during the Feathr Fundraising checkout process and those tips convert to Growth Credits. They are earned exclusively through donor tips (never purchased directly). Redeem Growth credits through the Growth Credits Dashboard.
