Confirm Meta Account Access and Permissions
- To integrate with Meta, you will need to be an admin with Full access to the Business page, and the Business Suite (Business Manager) that has claimed the page if applicable.
- Verify that you have enabled Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on your Facebook account.
Troubleshoot Common Errors
If you see an error message after clicking "Grant" and the integration status still says "No page selected", there are a few potential causes.
The most frequent issue is a misalignment of settings during the integration setup.
Follow the below steps to update your settings, and you'll want to pay special attention to Step 2 where you "Opt in to all current and future pages" each time this option is shown.
-
Click Reconnect on the Meta integration page within Feathr:
- Navigate to your Meta integration
- Click "Reconnect"
- Enter your password
- Click "Edit Previous Settings"
-
Opt-In to All Pages/Businesses:
- During the process, you'll encounter three similar screens asking for permissions.
- Each time you see this option available, please select "Opt in to all current and future Businesses."
- If you do not opt in to all current and future pages, you will not be able to integrate any of your Facebook pages. Your other Facebook pages will simply be listed in Feathr, and remain unaffected.
-
Granting access:
After saving those permission settings, please refresh your browser once or twice, then you will be able to grant access to the Facebook pages you would like to use for campaigns within Feathr. You do not need to grant access to Facebook pages that you do not intend to use for campaigns. If you see another error message, you may need to refresh and try clicking grant once more.
Other Possible Errors
If this does not resolve the error, it's possible there is something else preventing the integration from completing.
1. The user attempting to integrate is not an admin of the Meta suite which has claimed the page.
The Business Admin data you see in your Meta integration page in Feathr is pulled directly from Meta. We recommend checking in with an Admin user on your Meta Business Suite to request Admin access. Here is guidance from Meta on how to add Admin users: Add people to a business portfolio and assign a business asset.
Once you've been added as an Admin to your Meta Business Suite, you should see that Business Admin status on your Meta Integration page update to a green checkmark.
2. The Facebook page is not nested under a Meta Business Suite. We recommend having a Meta Business Suite that you are an Admin of, where you can claim the Facebook page. Nesting the page under the suite will ensure that you have the correct permissions required to grant Feathr access to the page, and complete the integration.
3. The user attempting to integrate is missing some other permission on the Facebook page, Meta Business Suite, or any associated Instagram pages. The user will need to be an Admin with full access at all levels.
Once you have verified the correct permissions are set at each of these levels, click disconnect on the Meta integration page, and then repeat the integration process.
