Feathr person records contain a field for the primary email address of any given person. This is the address used by Feathr Single Send campaigns when targeting a group, and Auto Send and Email Drip campaigns when triggering an email to that individual. Feathr can also store additional email addresses, if known, for individuals in the field Additional Emails.
How to Add Additional Emails to a Person Record Manually
Navigate to the person record you wish to edit by opening your Community database and using the Quick search bar to search for that record by name or email. Open the person record and select the Profile tab at the top. Then scroll down to Emails and select Add email address.
This will open a new field labeled Additional. Enter the additional email address. Then click Save in the bottom right of the page. You may add more than one additional email address by repeating this process.
How to Import Additional Emails
You may also add additional email addresses as part of a data import. When preparing your import file, create a column with the header "Additional email" or similar. The name you give your column is up to you because it will be mapped to the corresponding field in Feathr next.
If you are adding more than one email address for any individual in your import, enter the data in your spreadsheet as comma-separated in a single cell, like this:
chris@feathr.co,chrishillman@feathr.co,chris.hillman@feathr.co
Then upload your import list as usual in the importer. In the mapping step, be sure to map the column where you placed additional emails to the Feathr field labeled "additional emails," as seen below. Continue your import as usual once you have done this.
The contact preview will show a preview of the data below the mapping step. Once you have completed your import, any additional email addresses you have added will be visible in their respective person records.
