Pixl Group Builder is a feature currently in Beta.
While the filters that Feathr Intelligence generates are usually what you want, there is the potential for it to produce a somewhat different target audience than the one you want. Always double check the Group that was generated to make sure it has produced the audience you wanted. If it missed the mark, click "Try a different prompt" and further clarify your prompt.
Prompt Building Guidance
The best way to get the Pixl Group Builder to produce the group you want is to follow these tips for building a good prompt.
- Be specific. Include as much contextual information as you can. For example, specifically reference data fields you know of that exist in your Feathr Community Database or add date ranges.
- Avoid writing prompts that require knowledge of 3rd party data. Feathr Intelligence generates audiences based on the 1st party data present within your Community Database. For example, Feathr Intelligence would have difficulty generating a Group from a prompt like "build a group of people who have searched online for our organization's name," because it does not have direct access to the 3rd party data from search engines.
-
Provide robust data for Feathr Intelligence to use. Import, update, and/or integrate data points that would be interesting to filter by for marketing purposes. Feathr Intelligence can even understand Custom Fields that you create in Feathr, but help it do so by accurately naming and describing your custom fields.
-
Exclude to narrow your audience. Feathr Intelligence is more likely to generate an accurate audience if you can clearly describe who you want to exclude as well as who you want to include.
Here is an example of a group created by the prompt, "Build an audience that includes anyone on our email subscription list but excludes anyone that has opened one of our emails within the last three months."
Example Prompts for Useful Groups
People who have visited our website over all time. This prompt will generate a group of people that have visited your website. You can name this group "Full Website Traffic over all time." Try amending this prompt with time constraints. For example, replace "over all time" with "over the last three months."
People who received an email but did not open an email over the last month. This prompt will generate a group of people that you may want to target with messaging meant to incentivize engagement. This group of people have shown interest in your organization in the past by subscribing to your emails, however they have not opened any of your most recent emails.
People who donate to our organization. This group would require that you have conversion tracking set up in Feathr. This group identifies a devoted audience that believes in your mission and have donated in the past. Nurture this group to build a robust community of your strongest supporters.
People who visited our donation page but did not donate. If you can identify who has donated to your organization, you can also identify who has not. Use this group to nurture a group of people who have shown interest in supporting you, but may need some additional convincing.
