Pixl Group Builder Overview
Feathr's Pixl Group Builder takes the difficulty out of building the perfect group by intelligently filtering your audience to create your ideal Group. It is a key feature of Feathr Intelligence.
Learn the basics of Groups here.
Access the Pixl Group Builder by navigating to the Community section of Feathr.
Navigate to the "Pixl Group builder" button located beside the "+ Add filter set" button.
On this page, you can simply describe the characteristics of the people you want to see in your Group. Feathr Intelligence will utilize all kinds of information from your Community Database, including activity collected by your Super Pixel, data points from imports and form submissions, and even your unique custom fields, to automatically construct filter sets. If the data is in Feathr, then Feathr Intelligence can use it.
Alternatively, you may select any of the example prompts at the bottom of the page to generate some helpful Groups right away.
After generating a Group, the Pixl Group Builder will display the steps it took to discover the audience. Click on the Apply Group button to generate the filter sets described and then Save the Group.
While Feathr Intelligence is generally accurate, it has the potential to miss the target. Always double check the filter sets that were generated to make sure it has produced the audience you wanted. If it missed the mark, click "Try a different prompt" and further clarify your prompt.
Prompt Building Guidance
- Be specific. Include as much contextual information as you can. For example, specifically reference data fields you know of that exist in your Feathr Community Database or add date ranges.
- Avoid writing prompts that require knowledge of 3rd party data. Feathr Intelligence generates audiences based on the 1st party data present within your Community Database. For example, Feathr Intelligence would have difficulty generating a Group from a prompt like "build a group of people who have searched online for our organization's name," because it does not have direct access to the 3rd party data from search engines.
-
Provide robust data for Feathr Intelligence to use. Import, update, and/or integrate data points that would be interesting to filter by for marketing purposes. Feathr Intelligence can even understand Custom Fields that you create in Feathr, but help it do so by accurately naming and describing your custom fields.
-
Exclude to narrow your audience. Feathr Intelligence is more likely to generate an accurate audience if you can clearly describe who you want to exclude as well as who you want to include.
Here is an example of a group created by the following prompt:
"Build an audience that includes anyone on our email subscription list but excludes anyone that has opened one of our emails within the last three months."
