Feathr's Meta integration allows you to connect your Facebook and Instagram accounts to Feathr and use Feathr to launch and manage ad campaigns on those platforms. Using Feathr, you can target your own audience Groups, rather than be limited to the options the Meta platforms offer. Here's how to launch a Meta campaign in Feathr, whether you want it to display on Facebook, Instagram, or both.
Integrate your Meta accounts with Feathr
Until your Meta social accounts are integrated with your Feathr account, the Meta campaign options in Feathr will be unavailable. For instructions on how to integrate, please refer to this help desk article. If you have already integrated your Facebook account and only want to add Instagram, please refer to this help desk article. Once you have successfully integrated your Meta account(s), continue here for how to launch a campaign.
How to launch a Meta campaign
Begin by navigating to the Project where you want the campaign to reside, then click add new campaign on the top right. Select a Meta retargeting campaign or a Meta email mapping campaign.
These two campaign types are identical in setup, except a Meta email mapping campaign uses an email list as a target in the second step of the campaign wizard. Read more about formatting an email list here.
Begin by naming your campaign:
Next, select whether you'd like to optimize your campaign for reach or traffic. To learn more about these options, refer to the Meta help desk. Click next when you're ready.
In the Targets step, begin by selecting Add target. Then, just like in a Retargeting campaign, you can select from your retargeting Groups. Read more about Groups here.
This is the main benefit of using Feathr to launch Meta campaigns. You do not have this same option if running Meta campaigns in the native Meta Ads Manager.
If selecting a Meta email mapping campaign instead, upload your email list in this step.
When you're ready, click next.
In the creatives step, you will make a number of important selections.
First, choose where your ads will link to by adding a destination URL.
Next, choose your Facebook page. This reads from the integrated account you set up in the beginning of this article. If you have also added an Instagram account, the Instagram icon and account name will display here too.
Then, select whether you want to run your ads on Facebook, Instagram, or both:
If your campaign fits into one of Meta's Special Ad Categories, select it in the next dropdown. Note that Feathr cannot add political Ads. To run ads of that type, please use Facebook's native Ads Manager.
Then you can choose your target countries by selecting as many countries as you'd like to target from the dropdown list:
The last choice in the Creatives step is to upload your ad creatives to the campaign. Click add creative at the bottom of the page, then select how you'd like to add the files. Once you've added a creative, additional options for how it displays in each platform will appear. Follow the prompts in each field to fill it out.
Click on the creative image you've uploaded to show a preview of your creative in each platform:
Once you've added your creatives and previewed their appearance, click next to move to the next step.
In the Budget step, select the dates you'd like your campaign to run, as well as the budget. For more about budget calculation, refer to this article.
If you'd like to add conversion tracking, do so in the next step. For more information about conversion tracking, read these articles:
In the last step, review your choices and when you're ready to publish your campaign, click publish.
