This is a guide to Creative Specifications for Feathr Ad Campaigns (Retargeting, Email List, Search Keyword, Lookalike, and Geofence Campaigns).
For tips and best practices around the content of your creatives, read Best Practices for Creatives.
The maximum file size of each creative that can be uploaded to Feathr is 200MB (exceptions for Facebook campaigns, see below).
File Format: Feathr accepts .png, .jpg, .gif, and video files.
Universal Ad Package Compliant Sizes
The Universal Ad Package is a set of four web banner creative sizes that are accepted and available almost universally across the web. We highly recommend including these sizes in your Ad Campaign. The sizes are (in pixels, width x height):
- 300 x 250
- 728 x 90
- 160 x 600
- 180 x 150
IAB Rising Stars
The following creative sizes are gaining popularity across the web, and as they're less frequently available, they make an impression when they're seen. The sizes are (in pixels, width x height):
- 970 x 250
- 300 x 600
- 320 x 250
- 300 x 1050
- 970 x 90
Geofence Campaign sizes
Because Geofence campaigns target people on their mobile devices and tablets, you should only use creatives that will appear on those size devices. The best Geofence creative sizes are listed below. The sizes are (in pixels, width x height):
- 300 x 50
- 300 x 250
- 320 x 50
- 320 x 480
- 336 x 280
You can serve video creatives through Feathr that meet the following specifications:
|File Types||.mp4, .WebM, .mov|
|Ad Formats||Aspect Ratio||Recommended Size||Minimum Size|
Lower quality than 2500 kbps supported but not advised due to limited demand
Facebook Campaign creatives
There are stricter content requirements on Facebook creatives than general display creatives. Be sure to familiarize yourself with those requirements before designing ads to use on Facebook, or you risk having your ads rejected during Facebook's review process. Text should comprise less than 20% of the total image area of the creative or video thumbnail. Facebook sizes are (in pixels, width x height):
Why isn't my creative uploading?
You may be getting an error when uploading a creative if it's not a supported size. Be sure to double check the size of the ad to make sure it's one of the sizes mentioned above. If you are not seeing the window to upload creatives at all, disable pop-up blockers and refresh.
Where do I add my Facebook creatives?
If you're launching a Facebook campaign, make sure you've selected a Facebook Retargeting campaign, not a Retargeting campaign. Follow the steps for launching a Facebook campaign, and you will be directed to upload your Facebook sized creatives, just like you would in an Ad campaign.
Can I use HTML5 ads?
You can use Ad Tags instead of standard creatives, as long as they resolve to HTML5 ad tag creatives. We don't accept, at this time, the raw HTML5 assets that would be used to create such AdTags.
