Feathr's Community Database contains the records of all of your contacts. This includes people that have visited your website, interacted with your ads, or were imported from a contact list or integration. There may be situations where you want to archive person records due to general inactivity, accidental import, or for simply reducing your total number of contacts.
Archiving does not permanently delete the record, but makes the record unavailable for all purposes within Feathr. Archived contacts will not be able to be selected as a target audience for ad campaigns, nor receive emails, and will not contribute towards any contact limit.
Follow the steps below to archive contacts.
First, navigate to your Community Database on the navigation menu.
Next, access the person records that you want to archive. Use filters, the Pixl Group Builder, or navigate to an existing Group that contains the record(s) to archive. Reference this article for help using filters.
The list of contacts is displayed on the table below:
Each contact record has a checkbox to the left of their row. You can archive individual records or multiple records at the same time. When you've selected a record, a prompt will ask whether you'd like to archive all contacts in the list or only the contacts you manually selected.
Choose which contacts to archive, then click the Archive Person button at the bottom right.
Feathr will prompt you to confirm the action by typing "ARCHIVE" in all capital letters.
You've successfully archived your contacts!
Alternatively, you can archive individual records by viewing the individual record and pushing the Archive button at the top right of their information page.
You can restore archived records by navigating to your Community page and selected Archived to view all archived records. Navigate to the record you wish to restore and click Restore as shown below:
