iMIS is an EMS (Engagement Management System) used by many membership-based organizations (and lots of Feathr customers) to store and activate data about their members. Because that data is not natively tracked in Feathr, but is valuable for targeted marketing, we have built a direct integration that connects data stored in iMIS to Feathr.
What does the integration do?
By integrating your iMIS account with your Feathr account, you unlock the ability to base your marketing audiences off of data that was previously only available in iMIS, or by potentially tedious direct import into Feathr.
With the integration, data fields you capture in iMIS are updated automatically in Feathr. Examples of such fields include (but are hardly limited to):
- Birthdate
- Chapter
- Member Type
- Functional Title
Using the integration ports this data (and potentially much more) into Feathr for immediate seamless use in your targeted marketing efforts.
How do I integrate?
There are three simple phases to successfully integrating your iMIS and Feathr accounts.
First, make sure you are using iMIS Cloud, AKA EMS Enterprise, and check that it is version 20.3.153.344 or above.
Then, look at your iMIS account and decide which contact fields (examples bulleted above) will be helpful in your marketing. Then create custom fields with corresponding names in Feathr.
Next, use Feathr's integration wizard to connect your iMIS and Feathr accounts. Detailed instructions can be found here: How to Integrate iMIS with Feathr.
Once the integration is connected, map your iMIS fields to their corresponding Feathr fields.
What Next?
Once your fields are mapped, an initial bulk import will begin. Over the next 24-48 hours, any data in iMIS that you mapped to port over to Feathr will be connected and visible in your Feathr account. Once the initial bulk import is complete, any data mapped from iMIS to Feathr will be automatically reconciled when it is updated in iMIS, and automatically added to Feathr when it is created in iMIS.
From there, you will have a new world of possibilities for creating Groups using filters that are based on iMIS data!
