Now that we can integrate your Feathr account with your Facebook Event, we can start retargeting your Facebook Event page 'likes' with ads about your event. This article goes over the design guidelines for your Facebook ads.

The most common Facebook ads are Link ads, that appear in the a Desktop Newsfeed or Mobile Newsfeed, and lead to a specific URL on your website. These are currently the only types of ads we can run through Feathr.

Design Recommendations

Use these guidelines to design an ad that looks good everywhere it appears on Facebook. The recommended image size ensures your image always looks high quality. The recommended text length is how many characters of ad copy could be displayed on smaller screens.

  • Recommended image size: 1,200 x 628 pixels
  • Image ratio: 1.9:1
  • Text: 90 characters
  • Headline: 25 characters
  • Link description: 30 characters
  • Your image should include minimal text. If you include a lot of text, your ad may not be approved by Facebook.

Call To Action

Just like you would have on a retargeting Feathr add, you should include a call-to-action button, like "Shop Now," to encourage people take that action on your website.

Your ad will look different depending on where it shows on Facebook. Your ad may also display in a different format if you use a smaller than recommended image size. Below are examples of how text count and the images size could be different.

DESKTOP NEWS FEED

  • Image displays as: 470 x 246 pixels
  • Text: 500 characters
  • Headline: 1-2 lines (depending on length)
  • Link description: 2-3 lines

MOBILE NEWS FEED
On mobile devices with a screen size of 640 x 1,136 pixels:

  • Image displays as: 560 x 292 pixels
  • Text: 110 characters
  • Headline: 1-2 lines (depending on length)
  • Link description: 1 line

RIGHT COLUMN

  • Image: 254 x 133 pixels
  • Text: 90 characters
  • Headline: 25 characters

When you go to Launch a Facebook Campaign, there will be a prompt to add a Call to Action, Text, Headline, and Feed Description to each creative you add.
